Thanks to all the parents who helped, donated cakes and bottles and  came to our Jubilee themed Spring Fair. The sun shone and everyone had a good time!

Our next fundraising event this half-term is a cake sale on the 30th May at pre-school.

We are getting ready for our Spring Fair on Saturday May 12th at 2.00p.m -4.00p.m.

We need helpers to run the stalls and donations of toys, cakes, bottles and sweets.

If you can help please sign up on the notice board out-side pre-school.

We have a photographer booked if you want family or child portraits

also there will be some pamper treatments this year available inside the pre-school.

Lots of stalls and a Round Table BBQ.

Don’t forget to come along on the day and have fun!

New term starts Monday 16th April. This term we will be having a special visit every Wednesday afternoon from Mad Academy . The children in Starlings and the ABC Building  will learn new songs and have fun dancing. Sessions will alternate each week, so both groups will be able to join in. Easter bonnet/hat competition 2012

Last week of the Spring term .

The Easter bonnet competition is an annual event at Little Acorns and attracts many colourful entries.  This will round off activities this term; competition to be judged on 28th March and later entries on the 30^th March at 11.00a.m.

Please bring your hats / bonnets to pre-school with your entry fee of (£2.00), in an envelope marked with your child’s name.

Proceeds to fundraising for new toys.

 We have booked an exciting show for the children to learn about lifecycles and the beginning of new life.

Dates 22nd and the 24th February .

We shall have these special visits on Wednesday morning and Friday afternoon.

I am sure the children have been excited today about the arrival of  snow and  I hope they have had fun.

We hope to be able to open on time, if there are no more snowfalls. Children will need Wellington boots,warm coat, hat and gloves so they can play out if it is not too slippery.

Half-term is the 13th February for 1 week – pre-school closed. Have a good week!

We are Spring cleaning the pre-school and re-vamping our important  mark making area. Can you help?

• We need old birthday cards and xmas cards and envelopes
• Old tickets from trains, buses, concert, cinema etc
• Diaries and note books
• Small food packets and boxes for the home corner
• Plastic bottles e.g shampoo, water bottles
•  Empty clean yoghurt bottles
• Any surplus stationery items

Chinese New Year

Kung Hei Fat Choy!

On 23rd January 2012 we wave goodbye to the rabbit and welcome in the Year of the Dragon!

Children will be learning about Chinese New Year with fun activities like making red money packets, cookery, New Year cards, dragon dancing and painting and making a large dragon for display. During snack time children will try noodles, rice and prawn crackers.

We hope the children will have a fun week!
